New Commission to fix New Jersey Gaming
On Wednesday, Mr. Chris who is the Governor of New Jersey announced the foundation of New Jersey Gaming, Sports and Entertainment Advisory Commission. This body is made to make use of newer methods to fix the downfall in the gaming profits in the state. Governor Chris set up the commission following the fresh publication of Transition Subcommittee reports based on entertainment, gaming, and authorities.

As per the report, municipal government not being able to support the industry, the casinos of Atlantic City are saddled by grossly uncompetitive regulatory expenditure, the sports authority failing to deal with those issues, and the racetracks of Monmouth and Meadowlands losing around $20 million in the year 2010. Governor Chris said that they cannot allow Atlantic City to fade away in the competition, not making the best use of our stadiums, and have a Sports Authority which is not able to increase their investments related to entertainment.
Earlier efforts were weak, slow and were not so convincing to solve the issues in an effective manner. This will be a proposal, to direct our procedure in making sports and entertainment infrastructure better in New Jersey, to become self-sufficient, becoming more attractive to larger viewers, and generate more profits in the near future. The Advisory Committee will be functioning with his management in order to solve all the contractual and other matter as soon as possible.
Square which is in Christie’s view is a horse racing industry of New Jersey which yearly gets thirty million dollars as financial support from the casinos of Atlantic City, and which Governor Chris want to become self-sufficient. He is also worried about the rising gambling choices in neighboring states like Pennsylvania and Delaware. This will result in less people coming to the Atlantic City’s East Coast gaming centre.
The Advisory Commission will be serving without compensation and will be dissolved by June 30th of this year, the final date for presenting their final report and policy proposals to the Governor Chris. The members of the commission comprises of Mr. Wes who is the MD of equity company WML Partners, Ms. Debra CEO of New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Robert who is the law professor at Rutgers School of Law, and Mr. Jon who is the ex-chairman of NJSEA (New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority).
