Anton Wigg Wins PokerStars.com EPT Copenhagen

Swedish player Mr. Anton has won the first prize of €493,000 at PokerStars.com EPT Copenhagen. He faced more than four hundred players which also comprised of the best of Nordic poker. Mr. Anton is 22 year old and he defeated Italian player Mr. Francesco after long four hour game. This is his first ever cash win on Europe’s premier tour. In spite of his tender years, he constantly played poker for four years, played three as a professional player, and he has also won a seat in €500 satellite on PokerStars.

Mr. Anton who also won a seat at EPT Grand Final in Monte Carol which took place in the month of April was of the view that he just feels great. He added that there are times when he felt troubled but he was determined to win and he is very pleased that he has overcome all his ordeals.

The players from PokerStars once again featured amongst the top finishers with players like Mr. Bertrand and Mr. Peter earning most of the money. Mr. Bertrand managed to win €8,600 for the 40th position and Mr. Peter won €10,748 for the 22nd position. It also comprised of Mr. Stig who is a musical theater singer who finished at 19th position with €10,748.

There were four Danish players in the final table but they didn’t survive and got eliminated. Amongst the locals, most outstanding was Mr. Morten who was an entertaining player and won his seat at EPT Copenhagen with only one dollar on PokerStars.com in the tournament which was organized along with the Ekstra Bladet (Danish newspaper).

There were more than four hundred players which generated total prize money of €1,907,000. Over hundred players managed to win their seats to the PokerStars event. The event took place from February 15 to February 21 at Casino Copenhagen in SAS Radisson Hotel. Ms. Kirsty who is a spokesperson with EPT said that, during this week EPT Copenhagen witnessed different personalities. There was everybody from the opera singers, car mechanics, and the best poker players from across the world came together to create the excitement which we all wait from Danish leg of the European Poker Tour.
