American Legalization Anticipated by Casino Groups

Two famous casino groups have indicated that they are all set to make a move into  American online gaming market once it is legalized. One of the two groups is Harrah’s, which is a famous land casino group across the world and the group have recently entered online gambling in Britain. The second group is PartyGaming, which is a famous online gambling operator which used to operate in America but was forced to withdraw due to some legal issues.

In an interview to Reuters, Mr. Loveman who is the chief executive of Harrah’s Entertainment said that he thinks that online gambling is one source through which he can support his company. The company’s first quarter loses for the year 2010 were $195.5 million as compared to the losses of $132.6 million during the same period previous year. He added that there is no hope for a speedy recovery in the land gambling actions. Mr. Loveman has assured that Harrah’s has suggestions for developing their land casinos in Asia and online gambling actions in both France and Italy.

There are rumors about Harrah’s selling out Rio Casino to bolter their cash flow. In the ultimate analysis, Harrah’s is depending on legalization of the online gambling in America. Mr. Loveman said with the legalization of the online gambling, it would make revenue of billions of dollars for the American operators.

PartyGaming made its way for their possible entrance to the legalized American online gambling market by carrying out a multi-million dollar agreement with the America Justice Department in July 2009. Mr. Ryan who is the chief executive officer at PartyGaming talked to Reuters News agency and he verified that his group was in discussion with some companies of America on the chances of making calculated partnerships.

The main thought was to leverage joint benefits in using the biggest online gambling market across the world. Mr. Ryan said that these discussions are still in the beginning stages. He didn’t mention the names of the parties with whom PartyGaming was talking. Mr. Ryan referred to the American online gambling market legalization as PartyGaming’s chance to make a comeback in America. Just like Mr. Loveman, he was quite optimistic about the American lawmaker’s efforts to knock over UIGEA.
